The shop is owned and run by Lou Lippert, who was a service advisor for the local Subaru dealer for 25 years. He has forgotten more about Subarus than most mechanics learn in a lifetime. He can tell you, over the phone, what wrong with your car if you give him the right information. I recently had head gaskets and a radiator replaced on my 1996 Outback, 170,000 miles. I was quoted $2200 for the repair which I know is a fair price. The repair took two working days and the total bill was $1626 because I had previous work done on the engine and they did not have to replace timing belt, water pump, ect. Convenience Auto works on foreign cars mostly, specializing in Subaru. You can't go wrong taking you vehicle there for repairs.

The fixed our "squeal" within a couple hours of our dropping the car off, and for a fraction of the price quoted by the dealer (and even under their own initial quote!)

I have taken my cars into Convenience Auto on several occasions. My car is always returned to me on time and as scheduled; the bills never exceed the estimates; and it only takes one trip to Convenience Auto to fix whatever the problem is. As a woman, I have always been treated with respect, and the staff answers every question I have. Whenever someone asks me to suggest an auto service business, I highly recommend Convenience Auto.

I have never known them to not go above and beyond my expectations on prices, quality of repairs, explanations, and attention. They also just got some really nice couches in the waiting area.

I was desperate to find somewhere inexpensive to get my timing belt replaced on my hyundai. The dealership quoted me $500 and Convenience Auto only charged $325. They were super great to work with and I was able to really talk to them about what was necessary and what could wait. They were very quick and super nice to work with. I will definitely make them my regular auto shop and will recommend it to others as well. Thank you guys!

Thank you.

The guys at Convenience are FANTASTIC! They spent time with me to make sure they clearly understood my issue and never made me feel like I was wasting their time. These guys are thorough and knowledgeable. They did the job completely, correctly and on time. All of the folks I spoke to at Convenience were honest, friendly and helpful. If you are anywhere in the area, I highly recommend you make Convenience your new home for your service needs. You will not be disappointed.

We appreciate your business. Thank you.

All the other reviews have it nailed: Lou and his team are simply the best, hands-down. Their knowledge, service and commitment to the customer are unsurpassed. He has worked on my cars for the past 11 years (when he was at the Dealer and now at his own shop) and for as long as he's around I will never go anywhere else. The problem is always fixed right the first time at a fair price.

I had an electrical problem with my 2000 Subaru. By all indications, and according to the tow truck driver, the problem was probably an alternator. I was preparing for the shock of how much this might cost, but when I called in to find out the damage, they told me it was just a loose connection which cost a total of $26 to find and fix! It would have been so easy for them to say it was the alternator, install an unnecessary new or reconditioned one, bill me for the full amount and nobody would have been the wiser. An honest repair shop, who woulda thunk it?!

Are you able to say any of the following: Excellent, Superb, Stellar, Stupendous, Stupefying, Incredulous? Above and Beyond, right down to the bikini clad hostesses in the shag carpeted waiting lounge serving martinis. Well, the last is fictional but this place is absolutely First Rate. I've no info about fixing their screw ups as I have no input as they did not screw up. They diagnosed my problem and fixed it straight away and at a very reasonable price, especially for Ann Arbor where many places charge New York City prices. Their comm was simply great and they speak in terms anyone is able to comprehend. Recommended? You guess.

These guys are super honest: They've told me NOT to get work done that I thought I needed; they've patched/repaired problems when they could have sold me a new part; they've sent me to the dealership when the realized a $2000 repair might be covered by recall/extended warranty; they've always given me the cheapest estimate (though I admit that I stopped getting estimates from different shops after about the 5th time they came back the lowest); and I've never had to take a car back in for the same repair twice. They're amazing.
